Instagram Feed

Prerequisite: The admin already has a developer app for Facebook.

1. Click the ‘Set Up’ button under Instagram Basic Display.

(If a pop message will appear “This content is no longer available”, just click Close every time it shows up on anywhere you are in the Facebook Developer’s site)

•  Click ‘Create New App’ button

• On the Pop Up, click “Create App”

• Wait for the page to reload and scroll down to the “User Token Generator” box then click “Add or Remove Instagram Testers”

• Scroll to the last box “Instagram Testers” and click “Add Instagram Testers”

• Add your official Instagram ID. The field will give suggested Instagram accounts. Choose the correct account.

Once done, the box will show the account has been added and is pending for approval.

Now, you’ll go to your Instagram account to approve the invitation. Don’t close this site yet as you will go back here after you accept the invitation in Instagram.

1. Confirming the Invitation in Instagram

1. Go to Instagram.com – https://www.instagram.com/
2. Login with your official Instagram Account

• Click your profile, and select “Settings”

• On the left panel, click “Apps and Websites” à Click Tester Invites and click “Accept”.

Once accepted, the Instagram will authorize the invite.

• Generating the Instagram Token in Facebook Developers site

If you have closed the previous site, go back to it https://developers.facebook.com/ and re-login if asked.

1. On the left panel, click “Instagram Basic Display” and click “Basic Display”

• Scroll down to the “User Token Generator” and click “Generate Token”

• On the Pop up, click the button “continue as…” (if asked). Check the agreement box “I understand”.

Click Copy and Done.

• Send us the token through email. We will use this token to allow yournew rSchoolToday website to show posts from Instagram.
