Go to Settings > Customize > Layout > Container to adjust overall container layout.
You can adjust the width of your overall site container inside Settings > Customize > Layout > Container.
You can use the slider to adjust the width in pixels, or directly input your number into the field.
You can set it to a percentage using CSS, however I typically recommend choosing a really high pixel value like 2000 if you’re looking for a 100% width website. Since GeneratePress is responsive, it will be 100% wide on most screens at that width.
The Separating Space option found in Settings > Customize > Layout > Container allows you to choose the amount of space between your elements when your content layout is set to Separate Containers.
This option is also useful even if you’re not using separate containers, as it controls the amount of space between your blog posts when they’re using masonry or columns.
The Content Layout option found in Settings > Customize > Layout > Container allows you to separate your website elements (content area, widgets, header, footer etc..) into separate blocks, or contain them all inside one container. When you choose between the two options, you’ll see immediately what the difference is. Separate Containers One Container
GeneratePress has always used a box alignment to display your content and sidebars. This means the edges of the boxes align with the header/footer. This can become an issue when your body and content background colors match. For example: Starting in GeneratePress 2.3, the new container alignment option fixes this for us.
You can adjust the padding inside your content container in Settings > Customize > Layout > Container.
The value you see is in pixels, and controls the amount of space between the edge of your content container and content inside of it.
Note that this can be adjusted separately for desktop and mobile by using the toggle buttons.
